The Beauty of Serendipity in Artistic Creation
The concept of serendipity revolves around the idea of chance—stumbling upon good things without actively seeking them. Notions of chance, randomness, or unpredictability play a vital role, especially in the context of artistic creation.
This approach highlights the importance of embracing the organic process of making art without a rigid plan or a definitive outcome in mind. It invites artists to welcome chance encounters, experiment with unexpected materials, or adopt unplanned techniques that can lead to surprising and unique results.
For me, Serendipity Art is all about relaxation, fun, and experimentation. It’s the liberating feeling of holding a lump of clay in my hands or standing before an empty canvas, unbound by the constraints of achieving a predetermined outcome. Instead, the process becomes an exploration of creativity, discovery, and joy.

I was clearing out a drawer of discarded paintings and prints so decided to cut them up and make a collage.
Papier-mâché Sculpture. I christened this pair ‘ATTITUDE’. You can probably see why! As with most of my recent pieces, the outcome was not planned. It simply involved, stage by stage. .
